hiatus

well, i didnt ride much this week, so i didnt have anything to write about , cepher grumblings. last weekend tried to race in denver. had a good 3 laps,,,but the race was 8...soooo that didnt go so well. i had about an hour's worth of worth. rode the remaining five laps, first alone, then with billy, then with billy and kris, then kris dropped us and just billy again, then billy dropped out and i was alone again, tried to catch kris, no avail, then came jurgen. he was on his last lap, tried to lead him out on the descent and show him the really fun line froze showed me when i was actually racing, but this guy got in the way, so i sat up and waited, sure was good that i did that so i could get dropped, then miles showed up he thought he was done at the end of 7, but they told him otherwise. luckily i had julie and persephone telling me that they didnt know how many laps i had left, but i wasnt done yet. then 'seph told me i had one left. i almost stopped and hugged her, literally. i had already stopped a few times. the first time was to let the kicked-in-the-crotch feeling pass from eating a gu while dehydrated on a bumpy, fast trail where i had pedaled through while seated. it was also to rest. then i stopped to widh billy good bye while he dropped out. then i stoppped while getting a bottle from davin. i REALLY didnt want to miss that bottle, and i kinda wanted to rest. then my number plate halfway fell off. twist ties and a plastic number plate dont mix. but i sprinted miles for 22nd. not bad to feel like poo and ride 36 dirt miles in just under 2:20 (15mph and change). if you want you can check out the
results. still in second for the series, pretty psyched about that.

had a sweet hike sunday. 1500 veritcal foot skree was the high point.

didnt ride until wednesday, just a little extra on the way to work. felt good though.

meridian yesterday. man was that fun. laddy and gfroze tore shit up. i wasnt going to go that hard, but they looked like they were having so much fun... i couldnt resist. big al went for the solo last lap, starting from the climb, she made it about half a lap, then the boys couldnt let a girl win, so they chased her down. i, of course, launched a counter attack soon after we caught her, swallowed in the sprint. hoot of a time.
